This ceramic workshop will explore the nature of ceramic glazes! Glaze a bisque ceramic artwork (or bring your own) with a handmade glaze from Earth Pigments! Explore the natural beauty of these earthy colors and learn what goes into making glazes.

Learn the pros and cons of colored pencil painting in this introduction to materials, tools, and techniques that distinguish it from other media. The instructor will lead students through several exercises and complete one or two simple still life paintings.

Practice throwing on the wheel, and learn and practice fundamental techniques with cups and bowls. Finish the process with trimming, adding handles, firing, and glazing your pieces.

Storytelling Meets Improv
From collaborative tales to random prompted stories, this fully-facilitated program is sure to be full of fun and laughter. No writing or performance experience is required. Bring your imagination, listening skills, and willingness to go with the flow.
Facilitator: Patt (Patricia) Gilmore is a graduate of the Commercial Actor’s Studio in Los Angeles with a background in Improvisational Theater. Patt leads groups in various activities that get their brain cells firing through imaginative fun.

Clay Safety 101 is for all new Clay Members. To access your full Clay member benefits we ask that you first take this workshop so you can enjoy open studio time safely.

This workshop includes a tour of the clay studio with in depth demonstrations on how to operate equipment, informs you of our clay studio procedures, and sets you up for success in our studio space.

We still recommend you take this workshop to know the ins and outs of how our studio operates. Every studio is different, and has its own procedures and we want all our members to be on the same page.
We can also waiver certain individuals based on demonstrated expertise.
