ORIGINS - by Claire Molina
Origins explores the themes of natural processes, human behaviors, and cosmic patterns as a way to deepen the understanding of human relationships to nature. The artworks included in this fine art exhibition are created with ancient material processes including hand-ground pigments, iron-oxide ceramic glazes, and earth pigment relief printing ink.
In creating her own materials sources from Earth, the artist views her own human behavior as a part of nature, and expresses humanity as a foundational part of Earth's origins.
An Artist Talk will occur the following day, September 12th at 1pm to welcome the community in discussion about the artwork, and the role of Earth stewardship in an increasingly hands-off world.
