Students learn how to plan, cut and prepare the concertina journal, create a cover, and use watercolor and ink to create either a narrative or abstract 3D work. Jackii Molsick is a widely exhibited professional watercolorist, and a member of the Whiskey Painters, and the Watercolor Society. All supplies included.

Do you wonder the difference between atmospheric vs geometric perspective? Or about foreshortening, bird’s eye view and 1 point, 2 point perspective? Learn the different approaches to drawing perspective and how to use them in this 2 part workshop.

Learn to paint poetic works from a reference in either acrylics or oil paints. For all levels, from beginner to advanced.

Practice throwing on the wheel, and learn and practice fundamental techniques with cups and bowls. Finish the process with trimming, adding handles, firing, and glazing your pieces.

Learn the basics of sewing on a machine or by hand with professional seamstress Margaret Everson from Fiber Art paintings, sewing collage, clothing, handbags, basic alterations, embroidery, stuffed animals, and more! Bring the basics of the project you would like to create, and get help with each step of the process. Sewing machines available to borrow at the Arts Center while machines last.
CLAY SAFETY 101

Clay Safety 101 is for all new Clay Members. To access your full Clay member benefits we ask that you first take this workshop so you can enjoy open studio time safely.

This workshop includes a tour of the clay studio with in depth demonstrations on how to operate equipment, informs you of our clay studio procedures, and sets you up for success in our studio space.

We still recommend you take this workshop to know the ins and outs of how our studio operates. Every studio is different, and has its own procedures and we want all our members to be on the same page.
We can also waiver certain individuals based on demonstrated expertise.
