Learn the basics of sewing on a machine or by hand with professional seamstress Margaret Everson from Fiber Art paintings, sewing collage, clothing, handbags, basic alterations, embroidery, stuffed animals, and more! Bring the basics of the project you would like to create, and get help with each step of the process. Sewing machines available to borrow at the Arts Center while machines last.

CLAY SAFETY 101

  • Clay Safety 101 is for all new Clay Members. To access your full Clay member benefits we ask that you first take this workshop so you can enjoy open studio time safely.

  • This workshop includes a tour of the clay studio with in depth demonstrations on how to operate equipment, informs you of our clay studio procedures, and sets you up for success in our studio space.

  • We still recommend you take this workshop to know the ins and outs of how our studio operates. Every studio is different, and has its own procedures and we want all our members to be on the same page.
    We can also waiver certain individuals based on demonstrated expertise.
